Native flowers on the Croxton to Thornbury Railway Siding: Individual Species

The drawings presented here are those of the individual plants flowering at any particular time. I have clustered them three months at a time to reflect the long flowering period of many of the plants, which are by no means ephemeral.

As observed elsewhere, I have attempted to identify and name them as accurately as possible, and I freely apologise for taxonomic errors. For those interested in pursuing this in more detail, the best starting place for identifying indigenous plants of the area is the City of Darebin's Guide to the indigenous plants of the City of Darebin which can be found HERE.

When accessing this website via desktop, hovering on the image will reveal the plant's scientific and common names, and sometimes further information, including its place of origin while clicking on the individual pictures, whether accessing this website via mobile phone or desktop, will open a full page pop-up of the image showing the same information.

Key to place of origin: Ind - indigenous to the railway siding; Vic - elsewhere in Victoria; NSW - New South Wales; Qld - Queensland; Tas- Tasmania; WA - Western Australia; SW-WA - South West of Western Australia
